Mühlbauer has been awarded major contract for ID project

Roding, 22 March 2010 - The Mühlbauer Technology Group, leading global system partner for the complete technology and know-how transfer concerning the production of electronic ID documents, announces that it has received a major order for the realization of a national ID project.

The order volume of approx. EUR 64 million to be gradually processed by the company in full responsibility within the next three years comprises the provision of mobile data enrollment systems for the capturing of personal data, the creation of a central population data base as well as the establishment of a personalization center for the subsequent personalization of biometric ID documents.

The company is already involved in more than 200 ID projects and supports numerous governments and authorities in implementing innovative ID documents. Worldwide the technology group is the only company that is able to provide its own complete solutions to support customers along every step of the process for an ID project: the portfolio ranges from technologies for data capturing to production and personalization of an ID document through to fully automatic border crossing procedures – including software solutions.
